Motorcyclist and passenger dead Wednesday afternoon after collision in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people were killed Wednesday afternoon in Elkhart County when a motorcycle collided with a minivan on C.R. 18, just west of C.R. 117.
Authorities say a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country was being driven east on C.R. 18 by 31-year-old Yenis V Rodriguez Argueta, of Elkhart. He was attempting to turn north into a private drive west of C.R. 117 when a 2003 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic was in the opposite lane of C.R. 18, heading west around 2:56 p.m. on March 12.
"[The Chrysler] turned left in front of [the Harley], failing to yield the right of way," authorities said. [The Harley] was laid down but continued west and struck [the Chrysler]."
The driver of the motorcycle was identified 41-year-old Jason E Bleiler, of Goshen, and his passenger was identified as 38-year-old Crystal Woolums, of Leesburg, Ind.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Yenis Rodriguez Argueta and his passenger were unharmed.
Enforcement action is pending the results of the crash investigation.
