Today is the last day of August and the last day of meteorological summer. We’ll end it with mostly sunny skies and a daytime high temperature of 82 degrees. This morning, temperatures are in the upper 50s, so grab a jacket as you’re heading out the door. By lunchtime, we’ll be in the mid 70s, so you likely won’t need the jacket then.

Overnight, temperatures will drop to the low 60s with partly cloudy skies.

 

There is a chance for a  few showers during the early morning hours Tuesday, but most showers hold until Tuesday afternoon. It is overcast Tuesday with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The storms have a very low severe threat. The biggest impacts are gusty winds and hail.

Temperatures reach a high around 80 Tuesday. A few showers could linger into Wednesday, otherwise Wednesday is mostly cloudy with a high around 82. Thursday is the warmest day of the week with a high of 86. There are a few showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon, then mostly dry weather is expected Friday through the three-day Labor Day weekend.
