ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports that they responded to a report of a crash near the intersection of C.R. 17 and C.R. 18.
Officers say that the driver of a moped was traveling east on C.R. 18, as another vehicle was traveling north on C.R. 17. That's when the driver of the moped ran the red light, causing the driver of the vehicle to strike him.
The driver did not sustain any injuries; however, the driver of the moped was taken to Memorial Hospital for severe head trauma, internal bleeding, and cuts/abrasions.
