MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Local non-profit organization Mishawaka Troop Town has announced that they will have their largest number of volunteers on site this Saturday, Oct. 26, to help build the Welcome Center of their veteran housing neighborhood.

"We’re expecting over 30 dedicated volunteers from Barletta Boats, Lippert, and Christian Builders, who have propelled our project forward at an inspiring pace," MTT organizers said.

The organization's goal is to provide the housing and services necessary to help homeless veterans return to a productive and meaningful life.

"This weekend, we aim to complete the Welcome Center's framing, doors, and windows. With such a robust volunteer turnout, we're also on track to frame and roof two duplexes," organizers said.

The build begins at 8 a.m., and for more information, contact MTT Public Relations Officer Warren Seegers at (574) 849-0559.
