ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The Mishawaka Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one woman injured Monday morning, the Police Department reported.
Officers were called to the 300 block of W. Mishawaka Avenue for reports of a shooting just after 9:55 a.m. this morning.
When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman in a vehicle who had allegedly been shot at, reports said.
The victim told officers she was meeting someone near Battell Park when she heard a popping noise and realized she’d been shot at. The woman was not hit by the bullet but had minor injuries from flying glass, reports said.
The suspect was last seen driving a green pickup truck and leaving the area north on Liberty Drive and west on Broadway, police said.
