MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- School City of Mishawaka and the Mishawaka Parks Department are teaming up for a fundraiser this weekend, in honor of a late MHS employee.
Mike Faulker served as the Assistant Athletic Director, and more recently the Director of Operations during his many years with Mishawaka Schools.
His life was rooted in The Princess City - he graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1987.
Faulkner also had ties to the Parks Department, serving as Park Superintendent for 14 years. He was also a member of the Park Board for many years, too.
He pioneered the idea of a lifesize Caveman statue on the high school's campus, and Mishawaka wants to make sure his legacy and vision live on.
You can head to Ironworks Plaza this Saturday from 4-10p.m for the district's 'Beef Bash' fundraiser.
The fundraiser will feature live music, food trucks and open cash bars, which makes the event 21+ only.
If you're under 21, or can't make it out but still want to support the fundraiser, you can make an online donation as well.
You can find more information about the event on the school's website.
