Mishawaka Police Department houses 525 Foundation drop box

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Mishawaka Police Department is the newest location for the 525 Foundation’s Drop 2 Stop prescription drug drop box.

Community members getting rid of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications can stop in to the police department’s lobby and safely dispose of their unwanted items.

The box is available to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The following items can be dropped off:

  • Prescription drugs
  • Vitamins
  • Prescription ointments and patches
  • Pet medications
  • Over-the-counter medications

The following items are not accepted:

  • Needles/syringes
  • Inhalers
  • Aerosols
  • Thermometers
  • Non-prescription lotions
  • Liquids
  • Hydrogen peroxide

Items should not be left outside the drop box or outside the lobby/building.

The Mishawaka Police Department is located at 200 North Church St. in downtown Mishawaka.
