Mishawaka Planning Commission approves plan for auto mall at Capital Avenue and Cleveland Road

Gurley Leep Automotive Family MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- ABC57 learned the Mishawaka Planning Commission voted unanimously, 8-0, on Monday to approve the final site plan for Gurley Leep's new auto mall at Capital Avenue and Cleveland Road.
Officials say two planned unit developments, previously there, were combined to make one PUD of 72 acres.
A spokesperson for Gurley Leep said there will be eight dealerships on the property, with a maintenance facility for repairs and a car wash.
Officials also stated there are plans to update the traffic pattern at that intersection and the roads leading up to it by 2036.
Gurley Leep previously announced the timeline for construction to start would be 2027. No update was announced regarding the start date.
