Mishawaka High School football coach, athlete test positive for COVID-19

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Mishawaka High School Head Football Coach Keith Kinder and a student-athlete in the volleyball program both tested positive for COVID-19.

School officials say that Kinder had been exposed to an individual with COVID-19 and later went to get tested and the results came back positive.

Kinder was directed to quarantine at home for two weeks.

He says that he did not come in close contact with anyone in the football program.

A Mishawaka High School volleyball player who had been attending workouts also test positive for COVID-19.

All players and coaches in the program were directed to quarantine for two weeks, per the orders of the St. Joseph County Department of Health.

The volleyball program has been suspended for the time being.
