Delphi Murders Trial: The day after the verdict
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka begins Phase II of its Third Street construction project today. Several intersections along Third Street will be blocked off as crews get an early start on road work this year.
Closed intersections include:
S. Mill St between Third St and LincolnWay (3/4 to 6/4)
E. Third St between S. Main St and Church St (3/4 to 10/4)
E. Third St between Church St and Race Ct (3/4 to 10/4)
While you won’t be able to go down some of the side streets, the largely traveled Church Street and Main Street will still be open both Northbound and Southbound.
The closures are expected to be in effect for about 8-9 months – but project leaders say this is just a short-term pain, for a long-term gain.
Things like sewers and water pipes are being repaired beneath the roads. When everything is done, these upgrades will be paired with brand new curbs, sidewalks, trees and landscape.
