Michigan police investigating hit and run on Lake Road

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – Michigan State Police is investigating a hit and run crash in White Pigeon Township early Tuesday morning. 

At 2 a.m., a White Pigeon man was parked on the shoulder of Lake Road, near E. Lake Drive, when a dark-colored, two-door passenger car traveling east struck his truck, according to reports.

The impact injured the owner of the truck, who was underneath the truck making repairs.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene heading south into Indiana, police said.

The injured driver was taken to the hospital.
