LANSING, Mich. — Michigan's new emergency manager bill is now law. Governor Rick Snyder signed the bill Thursday morning.
The new law gives cities and school districts in need of help four options.
They can accept:
- A state-appointed emergency manager
- A consent agreement
- Mediation
- Bankruptcy
The new law goes into effect in March.
