Michigan City man convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm

A Michigan City man was found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm following a two day trial in federal court.

Court records say in December 2019, police conducted a traffic stop on Rapheal Seay’s vehicle and located a loaded 9mm firearm with an extended magazine.

Seay told police he had the gun for protection. He said he purchased it in South Bend.
