Meow Mission hosting 12th annual Alleys for Alley Cats fundraiser

The Meow Mission is hosting its 12th annual Alleys for Alley Cats fundraiser on October 16 at Bowlers Country Club in South Bend.

The fundraiser, held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include bowling, a Polish dinner, door prizes, and a silent auction. Bids for the silent auction will be accepted both at the event and on The Meow Mission Facebook page.

Proceeds will go toward spaying and neutering Michiana’s community cats.

"Due to COVID closures and the inability to neuter cats, we have seen more kittens than ever before,” said Jodi Aker, President of The Meow Mission. “There aren't nearly enough homes; we cannot adopt our way out of cat homelessness. The only way to make a significant difference is with trap/neuter/return. The proceeds from this event will fund the neuter surgeries for Michiana's homeless cats.”

Dinner tickets are $24.50 and bowling is $15 for three hours of unlimited bowling plus the cost of shoe rental.
