SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Arrest documents show a memory card found outside of a gas station led to a molestation arrest. According to those documents, a woman found the memory card on Aug. 19th, outside of the Stop N Go gas station on Miami Street. When she looked at the pictures on the card, she found several pornographic photos of a young girl and images of a man whom she knows.
The man in the images is 34-year-old Mark Peppers, according to charging documents. Investigators say tattoos on his hands, captured in the photos, also confirmed Peppers as the suspect. The child in the images is 3 to 4 years old, according to court documents.
It turns out, Peppers was investigated for alleged molestation of the same child last year. No charges were filed pursued at that time.
