ABC 57

COLOMA, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced it will start performing preventive maintenance on six I-94 bridges, starting Monday, July 8.

MDOT officials say the $3.8 million investment includes bridge barrier repairs, healer sealer, resealing joints, and pavement markings.

The six bridges include:

  • Westbound I-94 over US-12
  • Park Road over I-94
  • County Line Road over I-94
  • Boyer Road over I-94
  • Carmody Road over I-94
  • Roslyn Road over I-94

MDOT estimates work will be completed by Monday, Sept. 30.

There will be single-lane closures on I-94 and local roads will be closed with posted detours.

This project aims to repair and preserve these bridges, improving safety and extending their service life, according to MDOT officials.
