McKee sentenced to 83 years for murder of roommate

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - Dustin McKee was sentenced to 83 years for the murder of his former roommate, 38-year-old Brandon Lowe, in 2021, according to case documents.

McKee was sentenced to 55 years at the Indiana Department of Correction for his murder charge with an enhancement of eight years.

An additional 10 years was added to the charge for use of a firearm, according to documents.

McKee was also sentenced to six years at the Indiana Department of Correction for his charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon with an enhancement of four years.

The sentences will be served consecutively.
