Man shot while sitting on his porch early Sunday morning

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 1000 block of S. Main Street early Sunday morning.
The victim told police he was sitting on his porch just after midnight when he was shot in the leg.
He was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to his leg.
Officers located damage to a vehicle as well.
They collected shell casings from the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
