Man injured during fight in KFC drive thru line

ELKHART, Ind. – One man was injured during a fight with a person from another vehicle at a KFC on Sunday evening, the Elkhart Police Department reported.

At 7:15 p.m., an officer was called to the 1900 block of Cassopolis Street for a battery report.

The victim said that at about 7:10 p.m., he was waiting in line at the KFC in his vehicle when he saw a Ford 500 drive in front of his vehicle.

The victim said he got out of his vehicle, confronted the female driver of the Ford, and got into a verbal argument with her, reports said.

The victim said he then got back into his vehicle and waited in line.

The victim said that about five to 10 minutes later, a male came up to the passenger’s side of the victim’s vehicle and started pounding on the window, reports said.

The victim said he got out of his vehicle and the male walked around the vehicle to confront him.

The male allegedly grabbed the victim and threw him onto the ground and struck the victim in the face, according to reports.

The male then left the scene.

The victim was treated for injuries to his face and shoulder.

No arrests have been made.

This case is still being investigated.
