SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- At approximately 4:25 p.m. the South Bend Fire Department were dispatched to 3001 E Jefferson Blvd on the report of a possible drowning.
A witness reported seeing a 27-year-old man enter the deep end of the pool, where he was unable to resurface.
Apartment staff went into the water to assist but were not able to locate the individual.
Fire Crew arrived on scene at 4:29 p.m., immediately entering the pool, and removing a man who was located at the bottom.
CPR and live-saving measure were initiated on scene by Fire Crew, where the patient was able to regain a pulse
The man was then transported to Memorial Hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.
