Man found guilty of three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct against relative

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced 69-year-old Geral Whitney, of Harrison, Mich., was found guilty by a jury on Thursday for one count of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and two counts of Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

Whitney was originally charged in 2023 for sexually assaulting a relative 20 years ago.

The investigation was handled by the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office and Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, respectively.

Whitney will be sentenced on July 11 before a judge in the 45th Circuit Court in St. Joesph County.
