Delvaughn Moore was convicted of Murder Thursday afternoon following a four-day jury trial, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office states.

Moore is set to be sentenced on Nov. 5.

Moore faces up to 65 years in prison.

Officers with the South Bend Police Department were called to Miami Hills Apartments in the 3300 block of High Street for a welfare check on Oct. 22, 2024, for Montague.

Upon arrival, officers said they found Montague dead under her bed.

Documents state her cause of death was homicide with injuries consistent with strangulation and blunt force trauma.
