Michigan State Trooper opens fire on suspect in Benton Harbor
Severe weather blasted through Michiana Monday, creating some unbelievable scenes of damage in St. Joseph County.
However, that's not what has Edward Marshall so mesmerized.
Everybody has a guardian angel, and I know what I saw,” Marshall explained. “You might not believe me, but I don't care if people don't believe me.”
As winds whipped and trees swayed, Edward was watching TV in the family room. Suddenly, he says he felt his guardian angel guide him to safety moments before disaster struck.
“Prior to the tree falling, [the angel] showed me the tree falling before it fell, and I immediately got up and ran into the living room with my two dogs, because that's where we were sitting.
Edward’s wife, Juanita, was startled by the sudden move.
Normally, he doesn't move that fast,” she explained.
“When the tree hit the house, we felt it. It shook the whole house, and I knew it was serious,” Juanita added.
when the storm ended, The Marshalls saw the extent of the damage. Their roof, siding, and shed all now need extensive repairs.
Through it all, they feel blessed that they made it through the severe weather unharmed, perhaps with a little help from above.
“We are very grateful no one or no animals got hurt.”
