Man charged with murder in deaths of two people at Quality Inn

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A South Bend man was charged with two counts of murder and a firearm enhancement in connection with the deaths of two men at the Quality Inn hotel on Lincolnway West last month.

Reontre Lawrence, 26, is currently being held on no bond at the St. Joseph County Jail.

He was arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

On October 19, police were called out to the hotel for a report of a shooting in the parking lot.

There, they found 20-year-old Amarion Kirk and 22-year-old Jasani Taylor dead outside a vehicle.
