SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Law enforcement agencies across Michiana are warning of Saturday's deteriorating road conditions during the ongoing snowy weather.
Police have also released some driving tips if you must be on the roads during the afternoon.
The Warsaw Police Department stated motorists should slow down, buckle up, flip that headlight switch on, keep your distance, clean the snow off, and knock the ice off your wipers.
They add it might be better to stay home.
The St. Joseph County Police Department reports roads are getting slick, and crash calls are beginning to come in.
SJCPD adds if you have to be out on the roads, remember to move over when you see officers responding to a crash, especially in areas like the US 20 Bypass.
SJCPD also stated, "In the meantime, might we recommend staying in, watching some football, and enjoying the warmth of the fireplace?"
Overall, local authorities are recommending extreme caution if you must be out.
