Local business donates public safety drone to New Carlisle Fire Department
New Carlisle Fire Department: Fire Chief Josh Schweizer with Troy Kitchen, Plant Manager with Omni NEW CARLISLE, Ind. -- The New Carlisle Fire Department announced a new public safety drone has been donated to them by Omni, a local industrial company.
The new drone, valued at $15,400, will help enhance emergency responses according to fire officials.
Officials say the drone's high-resolution imaging and thermal technology will help crews pre-plan for emergency events, provide aerial perspectives during fires, support search and rescue operations, and improve situational awareness during complex incidents.
“We are sincerely grateful for the ongoing support that Omni provides to the department,” said Joshua Schweizer, Fire Chief of the New Carlisle Fire Department. “Omni’s investment in public safety not only enhances our ability to protect the community but also demonstrates their continued efforts to be an active and positive member of the New Carlisle area.”
