LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office had a very special visitor on Wednesday, and they had no idea what they were in for when 9-year-old Baylor walked in with dozens of stuffed animals.

"Meet 9-year-old Baylor, a sweet girl with a HUGE heart," the LCSO said in a social media post. "Baylor stopped by the La Porte County Sheriff's Office today and donated dozens of the ever so popular Squishmallows for other girls and boys to love and enjoy."

Squishmallows is a popular brand of stuffed animals that, as of August 2024, has sold over400 million units, in over 3,000 styles.

The stuffed animals weren't the only thing Baylor brought with her, though. She also wrote a letter for children who may be going through a tough situation.

"“I hope you girls and Boy injoy the stuffy when you are sad or alone a stuffy will be there for you know mater want you are ok and you are loved, enough, kind, and you matter dont be afraid of everything so you go out there and do your thing good luck girls and Boys. And that is why you are made," Baylor wrote.

The LCSO said the Squishmallows will be given to children at emergency scenes by deputies or within school corporations across the county through the agency’s School Resource Officer program.
