Lights out: South Bend loses power

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Drivers were dealing with quite a mess on Wednesday at the five-points intersection in South Bend.

Power went out near Colfax around 10:30 a.m.

It wasn't a small outage either. At the peak, about 12,000 customers were affected.

Indiana Michigan Power blamed an equipment failure for the outage.

All power was expected to be restored by early afternoon.
