A Notre Dame alum, who's now an Indiana lawyer recently asked a judge to delay part of his client's trial so he could go to the National Championship game in Miami.
The document states, "This will be the last day Notre Dame plays for a national championship in counsels lifetime."
Surprisingly, the judge granted the request, moving the trial up to before the big game.
Even though the honorable Indiana judge is an IU graduate he said he still wanted to grant the request in the spirit of the season.
The court date was moved to Jan. 4.
