LaSalle High grads gather to share memories

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Ten years ago LaSalle High School closed its doors. Since then, staff and students have tried to stay in touch with another. But most of those reunions have only been organized by their graduation classes.

This year, organizers decided to include everyone.

Saturday's reunion brought teachers, students and staff together to catch up and remember their days spent as Lions.

"It means a lot. I've always said we we're the most close knit group," said 1999 LaSalle graduate Dustin Saunders. "We were truly a family and that was something that the powers that be never really understood."

The LaSalle High School Alumni Group on Facebook has more than 1,400 members and they plan to continue reunions like these in the years to come.
