GOSHEN, Ind. -- Officers responded to a large gathering at Chicago Pike Plaza late Sept. 14, as a large crowd began building up.
This prompted police to close Chicago Avenue and station units at all entrances to the area.
Despite their efforts, gunshots were heard around 10:05 p.m., later finding a 20-year-old female with a gunshot wound in the leg.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment, where the injury was determined as non-life threatening.
While one armed individual was detained at the scene, it remains unclear if they were directly involved.
