MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Friday marks the busiest shopping day of the year!
Roughly 1 in 5 Americans took to the stores to shop the pre-holiday sales and be part of the Black Friday rush.
The University Park Mall was the local hotspot for shopping.
“It was very ‘peopley’, a lot of people,” says Macy Wright, a Black Friday shopper.
“We were sitting in line for like 30 minutes,” says another shopper, Ashanti Coleman.
A sea of shoppers flooded the UP Mall on Black Friday to snag the best deals in-store.
“Buy one get one, 40% off, 30% off, 50, yeah it was pretty good,” Wright explains.
Most had their eyes set on what’s going to be under the Christmas Tree in a month.
“We got bears for the kids, we got Poppy, I like this one,” Coleman shows.
While it seems early, shoppers say the deals paid off!
“I saved like a hundred bucks today at least,” Wright says.
Most left the mall this Black Friday with sore legs and a full trunk.
“I got to walk around with her, all day,” Eli Tahfs says about his girlfriend, Wright.
“I don’t even know how we’re going to get most of this in the car,” says Coleman.
