Lake effect snow will bring heavy snow to Northwest Indiana; travel from Michigan City to Chicago will be hazardous Friday night - Saturday morning. Most of Michiana will remain on the edge of the snow and not be impacted by more than an inch of snow overnight. Low temperatures will fall near-zero through Sunday, then temperatures warm, slightly. Highs starting Sunday, and all of next week will be above 20 degrees. However, it will be a struggle for highs to break 32 degrees. The best chance to break the freezing mark is Friday, February 6th. If highs don't top 32, then it is possible that temperatures stay below freezing through Valentine's Day.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 2.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 18.
