Kindergarteners showing appreciation for educators this Valentine's Day

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Valentine's Day celebrations already getting underway, including at one Benton Harbor school, where kids are showing love for their hardworking teachers.

Love is in the air at the Benton Harbor Enrichment Center!

You're about to hear from some grateful kindergarteners expressing true appreciation for the teachers who dedicate their time to educating them every day.

On the day before Valentine's Day, students at the Enrichment Center making Valentine's Day cards and bags for their teachers and fellow classmates.

"I want to give somebody a card because I'd like to be their valentine. I want to give a card to Tinashia. I love to give people cards, and I like to put them in my bucket," said Skye.

"I like getting a lot of cards. I love you, teacher. You're the best teacher ever. I love her, and I never want to leave her class," said Shonkvion.

"What i like about my teacher, she helps us learn about new things, she has a beautiful dress, she has beautiful headbands, she has beautiful glasses, she has a beautiful desk, she has a beautiful board, she has a beautiful classroom, she has new friends, she is great," said Kaitlynn.
"She makes us learn, she lets us learn, and she does projects. We get to give treats out to the people that love us," said Jace.

The kids were treated to a class-wide Valentine's Day party as well to celebrate this holiday dedicated to love.
