Kern Road to be closed for construction

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- Kern Road will close between U.S 31 and Locust Road beginning Sunday.
Kern will stay closed through September 4 and will be open Labor Day weekend.
Crews will construct an interchange for the new U.S 31 project.
There will be detours in place.
