ORIGINAL: BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Berrien County Sheriff's Office is looking for any information on the location of a female juvenile who originally went missing from Missouri in May but had just spoke with her mother on June 19 from Benton Harbor.

According to the missing girl's mother, after the she spoke with her daughter over the phone, they made plans for the mother "to come get her from the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph bus station and when we got there, she wasn't there."

According to the BCSO, at around 7 a.m. on June 23 a female was dropped off at the bus station in Benton Harbor at the intersection of M-139 and Nickerson Avenue and it appears she was waiting for her mother to arrive from Missouri.

"Video from the bus station show that the female befriended a male subject who arrived on a bus at 9:25 a.m., and while waiting for his ride to arrive, the two are seen talking," the BCSO said. "When the man’s ride arrives, a brief conversation is had with the driver of the vehicle and the juvenile. The juvenile then grabs her belongings from the waiting area and loads them up in the car and leaves with the couple. The Sheriff’s Department does not believe any foul play is involved, however the juvenile has not been heard from since."

Authorities say the vehicle they left in was a dark blue or black Chevy Equinox SUV which was last seen travelling eastbound on Nickerson Avenue from M-139.

If you recognize the man in the photos below, or you have seen the juvenile, the BCSO asks that you contact their detective bureau at 269-983-7141 Ext 7224 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 1-800-342-STOP (7867).
