CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Those summoned for jury duty in Cass County will now be required to go online to fill out their questionnaire rather than filling it out by hand.
Cass County Clerk/Register of Deeds Monica McMichael announced on Tuesday that, starting in August, an upgraded system for distributing summons will be implemented.
County officials say, to alleviate any confusion, McMichael is reassuring residents that the new summons and process are legitimate.
"The new postcards will list Cass County Courts, 60296 M-62, Cassopolis, as the return address," county officials said.
"The back of the card includes a QR code and URL directing recipients to the Juror Access website."
Postcards for August jury trials are scheduled to be mailed next week, and recipients are urged to follow the instructions on the card and prepare to report as directed.
