IU research celebrated at Regionals at the Rotunda in Indy March 26

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Wednesday, March 26, Indiana University's research on artistic innovation and economic opportunity will be showcased during the annual Regionals at the Rotunda event at the Indiana State Capitol.
“We're all together almost 18,000 students strong,” said Ken Iwama, IU’s vice president of regional campuses and online learning. “We collectively contribute over $1 billion in economic impact to the state and to our communities. Each regional campus has its own personality, history and uniqueness."
Faculty and students from IU South Bend, IU Kokomo, IU East (Richmond), IU Northwest (Gary), and IU Southeast (New Albany) will be at the Statehouse Rotunda.
“These types of exercises are invaluable in that they teach students to think critically, to take the knowledge that they learn in the classroom and apply these to novel situations, which is what they are going to be doing in their careers," said Michael Finkler, a physiology professor at IU Kokomo.
The IU Regionals at the Rotunda will be on March 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Indiana State Capitol.
