UPDATE TWO: The Indiana Toll Road states all lanes have reopened, and traffic is slowly resuming normal speeds.

UPDATE: The Indiana State Police reports they're investigating a fatal semitruck crash which occurred on the Indiana Toll Road in La Porte County around 11:40 a.m. Thursday.

Troopers responded to the 50.5-mile marker for a report of a single semitruck rolling over and blocking westbound lanes of traffic.

This is about a half mile east of the La Porte Exit.

Authorities' initial investigation indicates that a blue Volvo semi towing a box trailer loaded with frozen food was traveling west when it entered the center median for an unknown reason.

The report states the truck stayed upright for about 300 feet in the median before it exited the median back into the westbound lanes and rolled onto its left side, sliding for another 226 feet before it came to rest.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

The westbound passing lane has been reopened, while driving lane remains closed, the Indiana Toll Road said.

Traffic is no longer being diverted, and a rolling slowdown is in progress from Exit 72 to move up to normal speeds.

Emergency crews are still on scene, and motorists should expect delays.
