ISP arrests Mishawaka man on drug and weapons charges

Indiana State Police arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation into possible drug activity at a home on US 931.

Police received multiple complaints about drug activity at a home in the 6000 block of US 931.

Investigators served a search warrant at the home around 8 a.m. Monday.

At the home, police seized suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and two handguns, reports said. Police said one of the guns had been reported stolen.

Several children were at the home at the time the warrant was served.

Jessie Hanson, 34, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen handgun, serious violent felon in possession of a handgun, and child endangerment.

Gene Gilleand, 38, was arrested for an active warrant for resisting law enforcement and an active warrant for driving while suspended.
