Elkhart intersection closed due to downed traffic lights

ELKHART, Ind. -- The CR20 and SR 19 intersection is closed because the wires holding the traffic lights are down across the road.
The road has been closed since approximately 9:45.
Police said a semi made a sharp turn at the intersection and struck one of the utility poles.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
