INDOT extends closure of northbound side of State Road 23 bridge

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The northbound side of the State Road 23 bridge over the St. Joseph River will be closed through the 2023 construction season, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.

During a deck overlay project over the summer, crews discovered more work needed to be done on the bridge. However, much of the repairs cannot be started until spring of 2023.

While the northbound side is closed, traffic will continue to use one lane in each direction on the southbound side of the bridge.

The only open ramp at the interchange is the southbound S.R. 23 ramp to northbound Lincolnway.
