Indiana Avenue Recycling Center closed until Monday for nearby road work

City of Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. --  The Indiana Avenue Recycling Center in Goshen closed on Tuesday, June 3, and will remain closed through Monday, June 9, due to nearby road construction.

City officials say Niblock Excavating began street repairs earlier this week and barricades on Indiana Avenue "prevent the city’s recycling vendor from entering the site.

The temporary closure affects all drop-off services at 802 N. Indiana Ave.

The city expects to reopen the site by Monday.

"Do not leave items outside the bins while the center is closed," recycling center officials said.

"Unattended waste creates safety and environmental issues."

  • Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon.
  • Closed Sunday

The center accepts clean, sorted recyclables. Approved materials include paper, cardboard, plastics #1 and #2, metal cans, and glass bottles.
