SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- I&M crews were out Wednesday restoring power to customers who lost power due to weather conditions. At one point, just under 1400 customers lost power in the South Bend area.
Holy Cross College was also hit affected by outages. Students living on campus were temporarily evacuated to Notre Dame while power was restored.
Officials say that crews working in the cold conditions were layered up and working with a partner.
As of 10:15 p.m., I&M only reports 6 cases of outages.
If you have an outage you can notify I&M on their app or website. If there is a safety hazard as a result of an outage, I&M asks that you call 800-311-4634.
