SOUTH BEND, Ind.— There's no place like home for the holidays. This year over 55 million Americans are expected to hit the skies, streets, and rails to spend time with loved ones.
AAA is predicting it could be one of the busiest Thanksgivings for airlines since 2005.
AAA expects 4.7 million people will fly over Thanksgiving, that's a 6.6% increase from last year.
South Bend International Airport’s VP of Marketing and Development, Julie Curtis said 8600 people will fly from SBN this week, a 2% increase from last year.
