Rain, wind, and milder temperatures forecast this weekend
BERRIEN COUNTY, Ind. – Heavy rain and winds knocked out power and took down a few trees across Michiana Tuesday night.
One tree in Buchanan, Michigan came down a home on Short Street. The tree narrowly missed the house, boat, and car leaving a few marks. Downed trees are part of the reason lights went out for thousands of people across Michiana.
Berrien County had the most outages, leaving more than 3,000 customers in the dark. There was damage in other places as well. For instance, a fallen tree in on North Green lawn Avenue near McKinely Elementary School in South Bend caused wide-spread power outages.
