ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.— The St. Joseph County 4-H Fair is getting into the Halloween spirit with a family-friendly event on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Many events at the county fairgrounds have been canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but organizers wanted to do something special for the community.
“We don’t know what’s going to happen two weeks from now if they will even be able to trick or treat, so we wanted to give that opportunity to the families to bring their kids out,” the chairman of the Boo Bash, Donna Davis said.
The St. Joseph County Fairgrounds is hosting their second annual Boo Bash. They’re encouraging families to come out dressed in their Halloween costumes and enjoy a trunk or treat trail that leads to a haunted maze, then their pumpkin patch. There will be a costume contest, food, and trunk or treat vendors, and a movie screening throughout the event.
“We wanted to do something that will get a little normalcy back, to allow the kids to have a trunk or treat, to wear their costumes,” Davis said.
To pre-purchase tickets, you can email [email protected] . Tickets are $5 per family up to six people and $1 for one person. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
