Five semitrucks overturned by wind on I-65 Wednesday afternoon
An overnight cold front brought some cloud cover, but the biggest effect Michiana will see is the spike in wind gusts, around 35 mph in the morning and decreasing through the day to around 25-30 mph. The cold front also brings low dewpoints, with the combination of wind and dry conditions putting most of Michiana under an elevated fire weather risk for today, just make sure you keep fires under control and follow the burn bans in your county. Lows take a tumble, with the low 40s expected by Tuesday. Cooler on Monday, with a high right around last nights low, finally getting to around average temperatures. Overall, a nice week for Michiana, dry and sunny conditions expected with another warm end to the week before a cold front expected to bring some showers at the end of next weekend.
Today: Breezy, mostly sunny. High 73.
Tonight: Some clouds, breezy. Low 48.
Monday: Cool, sunny. High 65.
Tuesday: Some clouds, average. High 68.
