Gov. Whitmer visits Van Buren to sign bills supporting 4-H clubs

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was in Van Buren Township on Wednesday to ceremonially sign bipartisan legislation that supports 4-H programs across rural Michigan.

According to the Governor's office, the bills will kickstarting the creation of a new, 4-H themed fundraising license plate.

"I’m in Van Buren Township with Rep. Reggie Miller today to sign two bipartisan bills that support 4-H programs across Michigan," Gov. Whitmer said. "We're building on our work to support our rural communities as we empower the next generation to – in their words – 'learn by doing.'"

The two bills were actually signed in July.
