GOSHEN, Ind. -- Police in Goshen are warning residents of a scam where scammers will say they are with the fire and police departments.

They are saying a man and woman came up to the door claiming they were with the fire and police departments and were handing out child safety kits and wanting to take pictures of their children.

The fire and police department will not sell those kits and will not ask to enter your home.

If you feel as if you have been a victim in this scam you are asked to call the Goshen Police Department as soon as possible.
